They were imprisoned together by the RDA shortly after So'lek's arrival in the Western Frontier. The mirror enabled So'lek to see the reflection of the Western Aurora and so complete the Path of the Promiser.

Syanan's Herb Pouch: From the lands of the Tawkami. A pouch filled with healing herbs that was given to So'lek by Syanan, the healer of the Tawkami clan. Although the herbs have since dried, So'lek keeps the pouch as a reminder of the time he found new purpose while recuperating from injuries under Syanan's care.

Thanator Bone Flute: From the lands of Anurai. This flute is carved from the bone of a thanator. So'lek made it under the tutelage of Entok of the Anurai clan, and used it to call one of the fearsome predators to him, calming the creature enough to bond with it.

During his journey to the Path of the Promiser, So'lek spent almost two years with Rimu of the Tipali clan, learning to approach the cuirass crab and take its shell.
